James Allen (28 November 1864 – 24 January 1912) was a British philosophical writer known for his inspirational books and poetry and as a pioneer of the self-help movement. He never wrote theories, or for the sake of writing; but he wrote when he had a message, and it became a message only when he had lived it out in his own life, and knew that it was good. Thus he wrote facts, which he had proven by practice.
This book is for those who are ready to receive the truth; and also for those whose souls have been prepared for the acceptance of its teaching. In this book, the struggle of life is considered and dealt with, and the way by which that struggle may be mastered and transcended by the individual is clearly pointed out.
