This book made me laugh and made me cry. What a gift Jan and Diane have. Thank you for sharing your lives. I find it fascinating since I never lived on a farm.

I was sad when I got to the last page! I love the humor, heart and dedication Dr. Pol has for his family, friends, and the animals he treats. If you love Dr. James Herriot, you'll adore this book.

Thanks to Dr. Pol and David Fisher for an enjoyable read! The book is written in such a way that you can almost hear Dr. Pol speaking to you, with his optimism and wisdom in the way he treats animals and lives his life. I am glad Charles got this all started and I hope we get to follow more adventures for years to come.

If you are like me, and all you have ever thought about, is becoming a vet. This books is 100% for you! There is so much insight into what it is like day in and day out being a vet. It is a relief to see that there are still veterinarians out there who do it because of the animals. He sticks with what he knows, his old school techniques. Why fix something that isn't broken. Dr. Pol has become one of my biggest inspirations into finishing my undergraduate studies so I can apply for vet school. With the hopes that one day I will be able to intern with him and his staff.
