Rebirth Blog tour February 19-28th

Rebirth by Dave Longeuary

How did a remnant of scattered Jews rise to build a mighty superpower in the Middle East? Fleeing his father’s anti-Semitic organization, Charles Devonshire journeys into the most volatile landgrab in history—Post WWII Palestine. Charles pursues a beautiful but mysterious librarian, Gladia, who introduces him to the elaborate Jewish underground.

While joining their plight to reestablish a homeland, he falls in love with her and faces painful challenges in developing a relationship within their culture gap. And in the midst of battling the hostile inhabitants who also laid claim to Palestine, he searches for clues of his own troubled past. Can Charles pursue love, uncover his family secrets and avoid being trapped in the middle of the world’s longest feud? Rebirth draws you into 1948, into a world of intrigue, espionage and anti-Semitism. Witness how ancient prophecies were fulfilled against impossible odds as Israel built a nation and defied skeptics. Journey through the precarious events that led to Israel’s miraculous rebirth on May 14, 1948.

Experience the unrelenting pursuits of the most persecuted race, and how their renewed strength reestablished their original language, customs and land cultivations after 2,000 years of desolation—an accomplishment no other nation can claim. I just get so excited!!!!!

I really love helping people promote their books. It gives me so much joy to know that I am involved in helping these authors find reviewers, etc to help promote their novels. I think I get just as excited as they do when I check on amazon and see they have a new review! I automatically go and check it out to see what the reviewer had to say!

Some of these books come to me with a few reviews already, but others had no reviews at all. So when I see that first amazon review it is just so exciting! One of my newest clients has been very reluctant about chasing after reviewers because she was afraid of what people might think, but I don’t think she has too much to worry about (besides getting a new cover for her book. We are currently working on that) as today she received her first review on amazon!!!

“I loved this book it’s the first in a series about Lily Michaels whose a princess elf and doesn’t know it yet. She was raised by her brother Lucas until he disappears on his 18th birthday. When Lily turns 18 she spots her brother trying to kill her, along comes Tharin and Tolan and their friends and relatives to help rescue the princess. They find themselves collecting Lily’s friend Julia whose been beaten by her family. They also find evil elves and other beings trying to kill the Prince Tharin and Princess Lily. They travel through California, Nevada into Canada and to Velesi to get the Princess Lily back to Velesi for an arranged wedding. During all this a binding takes place binding Tharin to Lily. Lily finds out Tharin has a girlfriend in Velesi and just wants to fulfill this marriage and find Lucas and go home. What Lily doesn’t know is that Tharin is binded to Lily, his relationship with his girlfriend is over and he only loves Lily. Upon entering Velesi someone kidnaps Lily and Julia, Tharin and Tolan are desperately trying to find her. This book was great full of action, adventure, romance times two between Julia and Tolan and Lily and Tharin! ” Paula, reviewer at Book Stop Lover.

Paula gave The Binding by L. Filloon 5 stars!!!!!!!! This is the authors first review for her book and it was 5 stars!  Now this is what keeps me going and why I love helping authors promote their novels. :) I was so happy for L. Filloon that I just had to share her first review for The Binding.

New books and authors here on Lightning Book Promotions!

I would like to take a moment and introduce everyone to some new additions to Lightning Book Promotions. Not everyone opts for a blog tour, some are just seeking promotional help. In the last few months I have gained six new clients and I am very excited to let you know all about each one and their wonderful books!

Mary Firmin author of Deadly Pleasures came on board at the beginning of last month and she is a joy to work with. I believe she has a remarkable talent for writing murder mysteries and I hope her novel sores. To date she has seven 5 star reviews and I think she deserves every one of them. Don’t let this cover full you its all murder mystery and very little romance.  This book can be found in print and ebook form. It has currently on iUniverse’s Barnes and Noble’s rising star page and you can view it here: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/iUniverse-rising-star-books/379000118/?cds2Pid=16451&linkid=1563532 It is also available at amazon.com here.

Deadly Pleasures

Megan Riley has bigger things to worry about than the fact that her neighbor has just been found dead.

Her engagement has just ended, and she is once again on a quest to find Mr. Right—or at least Mr. Right Now. Tired of emotional ties and ready for a new adventure, Megan and her three best friends make a fateful decision. They hire hunky stripper Michael Harrington as their timeshare boytoy—unaware he is the prime suspect in a series of gruesome murders. Suddenly, they find themselves involved in a complicated murder investigation led by a handsome detective who is focused only on finding the twisted serial killer before he strikes again. But who will be the next to die? Megan, the hardworking real estate agent; newly divorced Kathleen; Alex, married to a wealthy businessman; or Rachel, the spurned wife of a hot Hollywood screenwriter?

Following her own investigation, Megan takes a wild ride through L.A.’s bondage parlors, hidden sex clubs, and the extravagant lifestyles of the rich and famous; soon she discovers that her quest for adventure has abruptly transformed into a dangerous game of life and death.

Caron Rider author of Silver Knight came on board about three weeks ago. She is an author of YA paranormal and Silver Knight is the first in a series called The Silver Series. Her novel was very unique in the fact that is gives you a lot of great historical tidbits along with a modern-day tell of reincarnation. We are currently working on a new cover for this book. Right now it is only an ebook, but she is currently working on getting it in print. You can find her novel at amazon and barnes and noble.

Silver Knight

When seventeen-year-old Diana recognizes an elderly priest in a video on YouTube, she realizes that reincarnation is real and that she’s been alive before! Every night in her dreams, she relives her past learning that it’s kill or be killed. Now a bishop at the Vatican whom she saved in another life calls on her once more. She is needed to help defeat evil within the catacombs of Rome. But when she arrives in Rome, she meets Alexander – the man of her dreams! Through the centuries she has loved him…betrayed him…been killed by him. Will she give him another chance or this time will she strike first?
L. Filloon is the author of The Binding came on board about two weeks ago. She is the author a YA paranormal novel about elves.  I am currently reading her novel and I have found it to be very interesting.  We are currently working on some cover art for her novel. You can find her novel at amazon and barnes and noble.
The Binding
Two nights after her eighteenth birthday, Lily is attacked while out jogging, but is saved by Tharin Lunar, a Sidhe prince. When she discovers that her attacker is her own brother, Lucas, who disappeared four years ago, Lily refuses to believe that her brother would truly hurt her and becomes determined to find Lucas and bring him home. Lily finds that Lucas’ disappearance is somehow tied to Tharin; so when he informs her that she is his betrothed and must return with him to Velesi, fulfill a treaty between their families and unite the two strongest clans through their marriage, Lily agrees. However, she’s not going to Velesi for a wedding, but to bring home her only family, Lucas.
On their journey to the borders of Velesi, the realm of the Thirteen Clans, they’re pursued by a Sidhe assassin group call the Ange, meet with an ogre crime lord that ends badly, deal with a sleazy troll motel manager, and when they discover that there’s a bounty on their heads, they must keep one step ahead of every assassin, bounty hunter and low-life criminal in Velesi.
Protecting Lily has become the biggest challenge of Tharin’s life. Lucky for him he has help in the form of his twin brother, Tolan, Lily’s best friend Julia and his three bodyguard cousins.
Glen Lacock is the author of To A Darker Brightness. He has just become a client two days ago and I haven’t had a chance to view his novel yet, but it looks very interesting. You can find his novel at Barnes and Noble.
To A Darker Brightness
This is the story of Vitto and how he saves the human and vampire worlds from being destroy by a very old evil that want to destroy all the worlds.
(First thing  I need to do is help him with a blurb for this novel.)

Dave Custance is the author of Sammy Knows It All. He has just become a client two days ago as well. He will be sending me a copy of his novel to review, but I do know that it is a memoir about his sister. You can buy his novels in print through his website http://www.sammyknowsitall.com/, currently working on trying  to get him to put this in ebook form.
Sammy Knows It all
David Custance’s memoir not only tells the unbelievable journey of his sister’s resilience toward adversity, but it acts as a reminder of how precious life truly is. Told with warmth and humor, Sammy Knows It All lays bare the strength found in love, family and most of all hope. Wendy’s life is far from over, but what we can gleam from her now is the understanding that no matter how unfair the world may seem, we must keep on singing!
Danika Dinsmore is the author of two books Briggita of the White Forest and the Sequel The Ruin of Noe. They are Middle Grade fairy books and she just became a client today! This is the first client to come to me through a small press publisher! So exciting and I can’t wait to check out her books.  You can find her book Brigitta of the White Forest on amazon and barnes and noble. The sequel will be out May 1st! You can get this one in print and ebook form.
Brigitta of the White Forest
Brigitta is a young Water Faerie from the village-nest of Tiragarrow. She’s confused, moody, and anxious about going through “The Change” as she doesn’t see how destiny markings on her wings should determine her life’s path.
A few days before the annual Festival of the Elements, Brigitta is flying an errand with Himalette, her tag-a-long sister, when a mysterious curse turns everyone in the White Forest to stone — except for the two of them. The sisters have no idea why they were not cursed, but they do know if they don’t turn everyone back in time for the festival rituals, the Hourglass of Protection will run out and so will its protective field around the forest.
With no one in their forest left to help them, they must leave the protected realm to seek an exiled faerie they have only heard about in ancient tales. With assistance from a few allies they make along the journey, the girls find their way to Dead Mountain in search of the banished faerie. When they arrive, they find the help they are looking for, but soon discover that things are not what they seem. Running out of time, Brigitta and Himalette must use their wits to battle evil in order to lift the curse and save their forest.
A book for those who enjoy fantasy adventure, Brigitta of the White Forest offers a new twist on the faerie tales so loved by young readers.

The Ruin of Noe (book two)
A child born with no destiny: one of many signs that the White Forest faeries had lost touch with the Ethereals, the Ancient Ones. High Priestess Ondelle is convinced by an old proverb that one faerie is fated to travel to the former home of the Ancients, the Ruins of Noe, to find the answer. That faerie, she believes, is Brigitta. Ondelle and Brigitta set off to save their forest once again, but when they arrive in Noe they discover something they never learned from any faerie tale. Why had this dark secret been kept from them? Why in the name of Faweh had the Ancients left some faeries behind?
So as you can see I am a busy little bee promoting all sorts of different types of novels. I am currently looking for reviewers for ALL of these novels. If I haven’t contacted you and your on my review list fill free to contact me about them. If you are not on my review list and would like to review them please send me an email at stormi@lightningbookpromotions.com.

About the book:

Chris Thrall left the Royal Marines to find his fortune in Hong Kong, but instead found himself homeless and hooked on crystal meth. Soon he began working for the 14K, Hong Kong’s largest triad group, as a doorman in one of their nightclubs in the Wan Chai red-light district. Dealing with violence, psychosis and the ‘foreign triad’ – a secretive expat clique which, unbeknown to the world, works hand-in-hand with the Chinese mafia – he had to survive in the world’s most unforgiving city, addicted to the world’s most dangerous drug.

About the author:

Chris Thrall was born in the UK. At eighteen, he joined the Royal Marine Commandos. Following active service in the Northern Ireland Conflict and training in Arctic warfare and survival, he earned his parachutist’s ‘wings’ and went on to serve as part of a high-security detachment onboard an aircraft carrier.
In 1995, Chris moved to Hong Kong to oversee the Asia-Pacific expansion of a successful network-marketing operation he’d built, part-time, while serving in the Forces. Less than a year later, he was homeless, hooked on crystal methamphetamine and working for the 14K, Hong Kong’s largest triad crime family, as a doorman in Wanchai’s infamous red-light district.

Battle is also waged within Reba, an ordinary housewife who has become the most powerful mage on the planet, as she struggles to remain true to her wedding vows. Drawn against her will to the arms of Prince Alexandros, Reba must choose between the prophesied marriage to a handsome prince in a magical world or returning to the husband she left behind.

About Lynn Hardy:

Led by a series of dreams and encouraged by friends, Lynn Hardy began the journey to become an author. She stored her work in a computer file labeled “second job.” Writing began as a passion she could not contain and has become much more than she ever expected.

Lynn has attended many science fiction conventions and has had the privilege of serving on panels about writing. Renaissance fairs are another favorite event for the author. Seeing others dressed in costume (as she always is during book signings) makes her feel right at home.

The real shock came at a chance meeting in a videogame store in 2008. It took several meetings before she realized JR was a CEO and Hippocrit Games was offering her a contract: they were not just making small talk about what a great videogame her book would make. Hippocrit plans to launch their new company with the release of Prophecy of the Flame, the live action videogame, in Fall 2010.

In reality, Lynn is overcome with compassion for families who are suffering through the recession and so she has created Agape Assistance. Knowing that times are hard for everyone, Lynn wants to give back to those who join Agape Assistance in providing shelter for families who are homeless. Buying Book One will provide a book for you and a bed for them. 100% of the proceeds from Prophecy of the Flame: Book One go to Agape Assistance. (AgapeAssistance.org)
Lynn is now a stay-at-home mother of two. The road has been longer and more complicated than she would have ever guessed–not always smooth, but filled with wonderful surprises. Like most stories, Lynn is sure that her journey has only just begun.

Deadly Pleasures by Mary Firmin!

I would like to introduce you to a new author that I am working with, Mary Firmin, she is the author of Deadly Pleasures.

Boy toy, sex clubs, serial killer these are the words that would best describe Deadly Pleasures by Mary Firmin.  The idea for this book came from Mary hearing about a group of men who paid for an apartment and shared a prostitute. In her book Deadly Pleasures, Mary turns it around and has four women who decide to share a man, but what they didn’t know is that he is a suspect in a serial murder case! Doesn’t this sound like interesting!

Here is the books back cover description:

Megan Riley has bigger things to worry about than the fact that her neighbor has just been found dead. Her engagement has just ended, and she is once again on a quest to find Mr. Right—or at least Mr. Right Now.

Tired of emotional ties and ready for a new adventure, Megan and her three best friends make a fateful decision. About the author:

English-born Mary Firmin was raised in Canada and taught dance at the Arthur Murray Studio. She moved to Santa Monica, California, where she married and raised three children. She obtained her real estate license and sold real estate for many years, while also writing a society column. She began writing for enjoyment and joined a writers group. She’s been writing since that time and loving it. Mary belongs to the Palm Springs Writers Guild, Women in Film, Mystery Writers of America, and is a former member of the Southern California Yacht Club.

I would like to invite you to check out her brand new blog http://maryfirmin.blogspot.com. New novel going on tour: The Way Through, a memoir by Amber Lisa

If you would like to participate in this novel please  let me know. I haven’t set a date as of yet but it will be probably March. The author will have print and digital copies available.

Book Blurb:

By the time I was eighteen years old I had survived years and years of emotional, psychological and physical abuse at the hands of my father a controlling, and often times, psychotic tyrant. Because of my father, I experienced starvation in a tent in Mexico, dehydration in a desert in Utah, hypothermia during a blizzard in Cleveland, a botched suicide attempt, and several bouts of clinical depression. (And I didn’t even mention the writing on the wall or the axe stuck in the front door. Oh it was a wild, wild ride for sure!)

Like so many who have suffered through childhoods filled with terror and trauma, I was determined to escape and create the kind of life that I had  always envisioned, one filled with stability, love, peace and happiness. Why was it then, that after following all the rules, after growing up, graduating from high school, college and even law school, beginning a career and starting my own family, I still suffered from a deep and profound sense of emptiness and grief?  Fear, pain, anger and depression seemed to follow me everywhere I went, no matter what my achievements or how successful I appeared to be. Was it me? Yes it was me. I kept looking outside for answers, but the answers weren’t outside. They were all inside of me. Always inside of me.

Finally, after suffering for years with clinical depression, I experienced a severe breakdown that forced me to turn around and face everything I’d been running from: fear, pain, anger, depression, grief. Everything I had tried to deny from my past, it came rushing over me like a tidal wave. At first it was overwhelming. At first I thought I’d drown in waves and waves of negative emotions. But no. I survived, and for a reason. I made it through for a reason.

“The only way out is the way through.” What do I mean by that? You”ll have to read the book to find out! The Way Through is my personal story about how I moved from a life filled with pain and grief to healing, health, peace and happiness. Finally I have found my way through! What is left to do? Now I want to show YOU!

About the author:

Who is Amber Lisa? I’m an author, teacher, and writing coach, who just absolutely loves what I do!  Got a book you need help with? Amber Lisa’s your go-to-gal!  Got anything that you need help with writing? Let me show you the way through! My spa is the right place for you  if you want to know more about writing, teaching, and self-publishing. Remember my motto, Read, Write and Relax!

*Content warning*

This novel contains a bit of foul language due in order for the author to portray things the way they were in her life.

If you enjoy memoir’s please don’t let the language turn you off from a real inspiring book about turning your life around and making something of yourself when you thought you had nothing to live for. It really was a very good read.
